Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Mark DeCarlo. Don't forget to send him an email and let him know we are all thinking of him on his special day.

Happy Birthday to the 25th anniversary of the Sandberg game -- I wonder if Bruce Sutter sends Ryno a card? Probably not. I loved that game best of all.

Happy Birthday to my Dad --who would have been 86 today. Gone two years now. It seems longer...there is so much he's missed in just two years.

Happy Birthday to you Sherm! Don't you share this birthday also?

I wish Harry announced the Sandberg game. I love his radio call after Sandberg's second HR, "He did it again, he did it again". And then slugged down another budweiser.

Maybe the MLB Netwrok will replay that game today.

I remember watching it at home and thinking the Cubs were still in it even down 7-1 early. That team was special. The daily double were like 10 for 12 that game or something obscene and Willie McGee hit for the cycle. Those NBC announcers gave McGee the player of the game and then changed it after Sandberg's HR's and made both of them co players of the game.

Thanks, D-Raker,

Good memory.

I was so far down the list, I decided not to mention it!

And Happy BD to Sherm.
I was not sure Mark DeCarlo still exists. He never communicates with us, and lord knows it can't be because he's overworked tasting America. So what gives?
Did he also start selling coffee to children?

He and Smitty just opened "Hyper-Active Day Care"

For snack they serve a shot of espresso with a biscotti.

Happy Birthday to all my west coast neighbors closer to N Korea then myself. Pity the poor bastard of this group who is now on mapquest trying to determine who really is closer. Is it denver in August, Cubs vs. Rocks? Have the cubs started the youth movement yet or are we still holding out that the Cards, Brewers, Reds, etc. can't keep winning at this pace. Love to all, Salzeider
