Hall of Fame, BCS, etc.

Don't care about any of it right now. Agree with Mojohowitz and Ravitsky-- HOF is diluted and voting is tainted by sportswriters who think, like all journalists, that they for some reason are closer to God than the rest of us.

BCS. Couldn't care less. Shitty championship game if in fact that's what it was. Utah and USC deserve to play to decide who's number 1. Or just give it to Utah. At least they don't have to defend a loss. And they did spank Alabama.

I love the Smoltz signing by the Red Sox. They've quietly and for a half billion or so less dollars, matched the Yankees off season moves. Okay, not exactly matched, but they've done well -- Kotsay, Baldelli, Smoltz for practically nothing added on to an already very good team. They haven't really lost anything from last year. (Unlike our Cubs, who had to subtract to add, unfortunately.)

I'd still sign Adam Dunn if I'm Jim Hendry. I've said it before and I will say it again. Damn the defense. I love a lineup with Soriano, Bradley, Dunn, Lee, Ramirez and Soto in it. Plus the little guys. Wow. Replace Dunn with Fukudome or Gathright and it just doesn't seem as imposing, does it?

Add Dunn and Peavy and we'll win 100+ games and the World Series. You read it here first.

That's all for now. I have work to do. Not middle of the night, life saving, heroic stuff, mind you, but whatever.

BCwhat? Bobby Ryan, the Ducks young phenom scored a hat trick last night, albeit in a 4-3 loss to the Kings because Jiggy is no longer the all star goalie he once was. And you guys are watching football, on January 8th. What's next the Valentines Bowl, enough already, move on. 37 days until pitchers and catchers report and only 2 weeks until the Rakeing begins in Mesa. If only I swung lefthanded I would still have a shot. I am in training for the Melee so I have been peeing on my hands to help with the calusses, the guy in the urinal next to me at the Claim Jumper yesterday didn't seem to understand but a Raker needs to do what a Raker needs to do.

I would rather have Dunn than HasBRO.

No one calls an Optometrist in the middle of the night for an emergency contact lens, well they may but I don't have to answer. That's one of the reasons I am not an M.D., the fact that they wouldn't even allow me to tour a medical school let alone apply to one is another.

Self defecating humor. Outstanding.

One of the reasons that ESPN becomes a dead zone about now, is that there are no real sports actually being played out side of college basketball which gives us highlights of teams we could never care less about doing the some thing over and over again.
The single redeeming feature of Hockey is that they call the object of their desire a "PUCK". just has a neat sound to it. Otherwise its like soccer and high school, lots of frenzied action and little if any scoring.

Talk about Dunn is done. Like Brittney in fishnets, it's time to move on. He will be someone else's good hitting fielding embarrassment.

Speaking of embarrassments (other than Sara Palin) the Spanish word for pregnant is embarazada. Perhaps they are embarrassed by the fact that it usually first occurs about the same time puberty does. I guess they did not go to my high school.
But I digress.. where were we. Red sox... not that I can root for them, but they do play against the Yanks, and any one who can make the Yanks look bad is OK in my book. Will the yanks make the playoffs? Not if the Rays show they were not just a one hit wonder. And it's very tempting to root against a team that throws that much cash around. not that you need another reason to rot against the yanks. Good luck to Fatathia in NYC. may he do as well as other big time yank pitching acquisitions Carl Pavano and Kevin Brown.

Now a days i think there is a lot of scoring in highschool. "like Brittney in fishnets", rake it!

Two things that are better about hockey, the salary cap and the family culture. Hockey players are regular family guys and organizations cater to their families, unlike the NBA, NFL and Dominican MLB players that favor posse's, entourages and baby mommas over families.

MLB needs to break the union and institute a salary cap. I love the game but I would go without the MLB for a summer to put some sanity back into the business of baseball. Hockey got it right and MLB needs to learn from it.

Posses are underrated. I'd take one if I could afford the upkeep on the horses.

I love all the baseball talk but I just shoveled snow for the third time on my Sat. off so it's a little hard to get in to it. I know, get a snowblower right, I'm just to cheap. I'm going to the Cubs kickoff luncheon Wed. so I'll get my proverbial fix there, any questions you want me to ask Hendry. Please remember there is only so long between courses and you know how JH feels about being interrupted between 1 Dunkin and 2 Dunkin. I doubt if Parker Brother, Milton will be there, I heard he has a " no f--ing luncheon" clause in his contract. Sorry, just can't watch Hockey, my southern roots and all. Did watch the BCS, screamed at the OSU guy to stop on the one as no one from Texas chased him into the end zone with 2 minutes left, Also screamed at OKl to maybe kick one field goal as the parked in the red zone for the umpteenth time. Don't forget MLB TV fellas if you truly need something to hold onto!!! J Salzeider

Get snow blower? Move to SoCal!

You need a snow blower to get your snow man smiling.

No snow blower means snow balls.

Work on your arm for Mesa!

Texas...Just black ice
