Fukudome in the 2 spot? Stupid. Come on, Lou. The guy needs to bat 8 every day until he starts hitting again. Or -- bench him and let Fontenot, Reed Johnson, and Cedeno split the extra at bats. At least those guys can hit American pitching. Nice catch in right last night. Joe Morgan said -- "at least he's not taking his slump into the field with him"
Here's what I think about that. We already have Felix Pie. A great fielder who can't hit. We didn't need to pay 48 Million $$$ for a guy who is ten years older and not as good a fielder as Pie. Fukudome is hitting about .100 since mid July. Hell, Pie could've hit .125, easy.
Never thought I'd say this, but way to go Aramis Ramirez for that hustle yesterday! Taking the extra base on the misplay in the second inning. Going to third on a fly to center. Going headfirst on the slide into home on DeRosa's sac fly. Nice to see. He is playing like he wants to win. Good job.
Time for a road trip. I think we need to sweep the Braves in Atlanta, and win 2 of 3 from the fish down in Miami. Have to start winning better on the road and this is a good trip to do it. Pitching is lined up nicely for the week.
Go Cubs. Have a nice flight mojo...have fun in Atlanta. (Who flies to Atlanta from Chicago to get back to LA?) Did you buy baby Cubbie gear?

No baby Cub gear. I wanted to see the country...or Mrs. Mojo just found the cheapest fare, regardless of the nightmare itinerary. I was 3-0 with Chicago teams this weekend. Cubs won, Sox won 2. Witnessed some sweet fistfighting post Sunday Sox game. Ahhh the Southside hasn't changed in the 15 years since I've gone. Off to O'Hare.
Did you notice that Joe Morgan had issues with knowing what the score was?
I've hated him for a few years since he said that the HOF was a club he did not want to expand. But, more recently he has been supportive of Ron Santo, so I guess Joe is just a benign senile old fuck.
Hard to get too much to get riled up about on an off day.
Agree with Fuko assessment. But, his 10 yr career shows he can hit. He just needs to adjust to the leagues adjustment to him.

AHHHHHHHHHHH...Delta. Hideous planes, pathetic service, and I currently have no idea where in the hell $3500 worth of golf clubs are. For my money, the worst airline ever. My wife booked this ticket on Delta with vouchers they gave us from the last fuck-up filled flights with them. Live and learn I guess.
