I hate rain outs

Had yesterday all planned to knock off early and watch the game -- finally get to see Rich Harden pitch...blah blah blah. Rain out.

Need to win two today. Harden on eight days of rest can't say he's tired like he did after the last game he pitched (against Houston. He went less than six innings)

Why can't they play double headers back to back like they did when I was a kid? Twenty minutes in between games and go? Now they need three hours? Or is that "gate" driven? Probably the latter.

Milwaukee plays minor league teams the rest of the way, apparently.

$3500 golf clubs are an expensive way to find out that equipment isn't the problem.

If I'm Lou, I give Fukudome the entire day off and get Fontenot some at bats. Kid was hot as can be, and is now back to pinch hitting every now and again...which doesn't help him.

I'm impressed with the Minnesota Twins. Always in it. Quite a franchise. They do something right up there.

Here's what I really don't want to see. Red Sox - Dodgers in the World Series. That would be a Manny-fest of sickening degree. Ugh.

If it can't be the Cubs in the WS -- I want it to be the Twins and the Rays. Can you imagine the horror of the TV people? Viewership would be in the dozens.

More later. Or not.

seems to be no way to find out if WGN will be running the early Cub game today or not.

Of course its about the gate. 3 hours is just the right amount of time to get the game 1 fans out and begin selling $6 hot dogs and $8 beers to the next round of suckers. Hell, they probably clear the parking lots to make another $20 a car, too.

I bought the clubs used...new they cost $3500. If any of them had been damaged by the seal hunters, that's what I'd have charged the assholes at Delta, though.

OK, (like my valley girl imitation), first the Twins and the Rays (nee Devil Rays) are in the same league. This substantially lowers the odds of them meeting in the World Series.

A rain out really screws up the rest of the week. Does R.Harden go again Sunday now? I think not.
3 games in about 27 hours are tough, but hell, we did it at camp. Can't be much different, right? Need to win all 3.

Yeah, it's all about the gate.
But hey, I can watch the first game in the office on my computer, and the second at home on the dish.

I take it the golden clubs arrived home safely.

stupid same league thing gets me everytime -- doh!

How about the Rays and the Marlins? There's a series no one outside of Florida watches. Can you say "ratings nightmare?" (Be honest...did you say ratings nightmare?

Bobby Whackit. Sounds like Dr. Decarlo's high school nickname. Classic.

Edmonds spelled backwards is sodomy, er .. uh sdnomde!!

too much.

desipio.com is the 3rd best Cubs blog...of course following hirejimessian.com and shermrants.

Thank god Fuko didn't completely suck today. I am tired and sick of hearing about how great CC has been for the Brewers. Some decent run support and Harden has been comparable. And the Cubs have Harden NEXT year.
