Trivial nonsense

This doesn't mean much...but it interested me, so I'm sharing it. Read it or not.

Baseball -- broken down BY DIVISION -- won/loss, win % and average w/l for all teams in division

AL West: 294 - 308 .489 74 - 77

AL Central: 377 - 376 .501 75 - 75

AL East: 405 - 346 .540 81 - 69

NL West: 348 - 408 .461 70 - 82

NL Central: 464 - 437 .515 77 - 73

NL East: 370 - 373 .498 74 - 75

So, it is obvious that the two best divisions in baseball are the AL East and the NL central. No big surprise there. Therefore, we are looking at the Cubs and either the Rays or Red Sox in the World Series. The Angels W/L is obviously skewed by playing in the weakest division in the AL.

By league?

AL: 1076 - 1030 .511 77 - 74 7 of the 14 teams are .500 or better

NL: 1182 - 1218 .493 74 - 76 8 of the 16 teams are .500 or better

Just thought you'd like to know.
