Pathetic

Anemic, pathetic and embarrassing. Rescind the offer to Piniella. Terminate him. Fire Gerald Perry. Get someone in here who can coach hitting in this century.

I wrote it here months ago. Against good pitching we look stupid. Well, we just did it again three games in a row. And that wasn't great pitching -- merely good. Unbelievable. Pathetic.

Fitting that Soriano whiffs to end it on a bad pitch after taking a perfect strike one fastball down the middle.

More tomorrow maybe. Tonight, I'm just fed up with the whole thing.

Like Doc said...there are more important things in our lives than baseball. Still, this hurts. Plus, I called every hotel in Cozumel and he wasn't it any of them. Fucker.

best to cb. She matters. The Cubs don't.

I certainly have a different perspective on my Cub heartbreak than in years past. My feeling right now, and I am angry now, is that the Cubs should definitely hire new pitching and hitting coaches next year. I like the idea of dumping DLee, Fuko, and Alf's large salaries and getting some quality character guys to play LF and 1B. Let Fontenot play 2b every day and Derosa play right. Hoffpauir has earned a chance to play first everyday, and might not be worse than DLee offensively. Alf looked like a scared bunny rabbit in the dugout. It's like he knew he was being exposed for the fraud he is. A LOT of leadoff hitters could swing a huge bat and try to hit first pitch cock-shots out of the park 29 times in 450 AB's and be successful. He never has gotten it, and he never will. He's a stat whore and a bad fit for any team that wants to win post-season games. DLee hasn't been good since the collision at Dodger stadium 2 years ago. Fuko? Send him back to Japan, and see if they have someone cheaper that can play decent defense and hit .217.

Thats all. On a positive note, I won a friends chili cook-off last night. $100 worth of itunes for $80 of chili ingredients and 10 hours of cooking. On the negative side, I ate a lot of different types of chili last night, and they could shoot the pepto-bismol commercial here today.
