That was a hell of a catch -- and despite what DB says...I don't think Pie gets that ball. I know Johnson doesn't, but I don't think Pie does, either. And if that ball lands, it is a different game.

A good catch made to look great due to Edmonds' (you'd think a Dr. would be able to spell the guy's name) deteriorating foot speed. He also took a horrible route to the ball. I do have it in for the guy...he has a Cardinal and a jackass last season. I hate everything Cardinal. That alone would be enough, but I also hate the fact that the misinformed get wowed by these so called "great" catches, which are often created by bad jumps and bad routes. I hate the fact that he looks like the picture on the Vitalis bottle, and really hate his huge, loopy swing that has produced exactly 1 home run and about 60 4-3 put-outs in over 90 at-bats so far this season. I will say that if he helps the Cubs this season and the Cubs make it to the World Series and the retriever fornicator actually helps us get there that I will happily admit I was wrong about his acquisition. I'll still think he's a flaminig smoker of the cock, but I'll admit I was wrong.

I am yet to be impressed with our new lefty at the bat however, but bad route or not, it was the play of the day (some some baked-bean-stuffed pitcher's effort against a little league team not with standing).
